The three standing figures on the memorial represent a county sheriff, a state traffic officer, and a municipal police officer. To give real meaning to the piece, there is a life-sized bronze sculpture of a woman on a bench comforting a child, seated facing the monument. A folded American flag, which is conveyed to surviving family members of fallen officers, sits next to them on the bench.

The names of all seven of Oxnard's Fallen Officers are forever enshrined on this tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice protecting their community.
