Why Join OM?

OM Members must work well together in order to make a solution that they are proud of and that impresses the judges.

Every problem has artistic elements, and every solution is enhanced by the artistic elements a team adds to it.

Every OM Member improves their leadership skills by being a part of a team. Members learn time management, budgeting, delegating, communication, and many more applicable skills.

OM Members greatly improve their creative thinking skills. Not only is creative thinking the focal point of every solution, but also teams compete in a Spontaneous Solution round where teams must think of creative solutions on the spot to earn points.

Each problem has both performance aspects and effects that must be achieved by some behind the scenes. Whether you're more comfortable in the spotlight or behind the scenes, there is a job for you!

A team starts out by going to the qualifying regional tournament. If they place in the top 6, they'll compete in the state competition, then Worlds, which hosts teams from around the globe.
