During virtual L:EAP lessons, Oley Valley Elementary students and families watched a read-aloud of the book
Fry Bread A Native American Family Story read by the author Kevin Noble Maillard. He explained why this recipe celebrates his culture and his own family. Students responded to questions as part of a No Place for Hate lesson about diversity in children's literature and were encouraged to share a recipe or tradition that is special to their family. We were so delighted by the responses and hope that you can share this cookbook with your family!
