Bedtime Stories with Mrs. Mudry
The benefits of listening to a story at bedtime are endless... but finding the time & brain power to wind down and read can sometimes be difficult.
New to Village View this year will be a weekly bedtime story with our principal, Mrs. Mudry.
The goal is to publish a new "bedtime story" each week on Sunday afternoons, with both a video reading and questions for parents to help build students' reading comprehension.
While it can sometimes be tedious to read the same book over-and-over, there are many educational benefits to rereading a story multiple times.
Rereading is very comforting -- children find calm in knowing what to expect
Rereading helps build a larger vocabulary
Rereading helps children understand how language and reading works
