Who will be delivering the OGAT Masterclasses?

Outwood Grange Academies Trust staff from schools across our Northern, Central and Southern regions will be delivering Masterclasses. We have exceptional teaching staff working across our 'Family of Schools', all of whom are experts in their subjects. Y11 students will be able to access 'webinar' style learning in a wide range of topics and subjects. The Masterclasses include a range of sessions designed for students progressing on apprenticeships or vocational courses, delivered by Careers.inc who provide impartial an advice and guidance service to students across our academies.

Welcome to Outwood Grange Academies Trust's 'Masterclasses for Year 11'.

The aims of the 'Masterclasses are':


  1. To prepare you for progression to Post 16 or Apprenticeships;

  2. Enable you to explore subjects they are passionate about;

  3. To close any gaps in learning in advance of Post 16 study particularly in relation to functional skills;

  4. To offer workshops in relation to careers and the world of work including Mental Health and Wellbeing.


There are over 100 Masterclasses for 'Stepping Up to Level 3 study' - relevant to anyone progressing to study A levels or BTECs at College or Sixth Form plus weekly Careers and Functional Skills sessions to help students develop their literacy, numeracy and more general understanding of the world of work.


The 'Live' sessions are via Google live and the time/link to the session is provided. If a session is pre-recorded, the video is embedded into a Google slide. All Masterclasses have a resource sheet that includes a registration form to complete and any resources/links provided by the teacher.
