About this activity
Join Kara for an introduction to the art of tree weaving, the practice of shaping living branches into natural sculptures along forest trails.
f the weather allows, participants will enjoy a guided walk on Howe Creek Trail to see her woven pieces in their wild setting while learning about the process, techniques, and inspiration behind them.
If conditions are poor, the workshop will move indoors for a visual presentation exploring her creative journey and the fundamentals of working with living materials.
Make sure to dress for the weather!
I weave trees.
They let me.
Started in 2010, still following the urge to shape living sculptures woven from wildwood.
Branch-bender, shape-shifter, forest dreamer.
Creating tree art in the places it all began.
