GitxsanBushGirl is Skyla Lattie hailing from the Gitxsan Nation- Wilps Gwininitxw, Lax Gibuu. Skyla comes from a long line of creative and knowledgeable Matriarchs on her mothers side, her father is of mixed-European decent. She is a multi-media artist, a Sim Algyax learner, cedar & Gwiis Halayt weaver, beader, seamstress & most importantly she is the home schoolin' mama of Furly & Finya. Skyla offers quality hands-on workshops on cedar prep & weaving, beading, lino stamping, cyanotype printing as well as wild foods & medicines & sustainable & ethical harvesting. Sustainability is key to her livelihood· living with the land, not off of it is her motto.
