/ On Another Frequency
'On Another Frequency' proposes an atmospheric and meditative experience, in the perception of a man in communion with the wild world. In this essay, the director explores the capacity of documentary to take off from reality, so that emerge the spirituality and the magical realism of the daily life of this man, who lives to the rhythm of the seasons, in the enchanting setting of the Haute-Gaspésie.
The short film invites us to experience another dimension of life, thanks to a subjective treatment of reality. An organic creation, which delivers a dreamlike portrait.

/ about Chloé Gayraud
After working as an international dance show producer and artist agent, I got the bug for non-fiction film thanks to a happy accident, ‘Chloé Virgule’ (2018) co-directed with Andréanne Martin. This essay on the existential crisis along the Trans-Canada Highway premiered at RIDM before being screened in a dozen of international festivals. This last year, I explored the capacity of documentary to take off from reality, to touch the spiritual, the magical realism and participate in the deconstruction of anthropocentrism: ‘On Another Frequency’. In 2023, I'm finishing a punk video-poem, Rage. A micro-film about anger against a mega real estate project. At the same time, I'm developing my new documentary project, with an international star performer, the mime artist Dulcinea Langfelder.
