Working with VB 2012 or later versions
If you wish to use the materials on this DVD with a later version of Visual Basic (eg VB2012 express) you can do, but you need to do the following…
Make sure you have the right version of VB express (Eg VB 2012 VS Express for Desktop) installed.
Copy the projects on this DVD onto your hard drive. For each project you will need to open it using ‘open project’ from the file menu of the Visual Basic software. This will then prompt of an upgrade wizard to run, converting the project to work in your later version of Visual Basic.
Please note that the code syntax is identical from version to version, so the Video Tutorials remain directly applicable and relevant. Microsoft only makes minor syntax changes between versions of VB since 2005.
