Ms. Sparks - Is Your Librarian!

Ms. Sparks has been the librarian in the Greenleaf Library since its reopening in the Fall of 2017. Prior to being a school librarian she taught theater to youth in San Francisco with Loco Bloco, a Mission neighborhood community Afro-Latino youth performing Arts organization.

Some of her favorite books are picture books by Yuyi Morales, Duncan Tonatiuh, Maya Christina Gonzalez, Innosanto Nagara and Julie Flett.

Her favorite MS novel genres are Fantasy/SciFi like the Harry Potter series or Shadowshaper by Daniel Jose Older, dystopian novels like the Marrow Thieves, Divergent or the Hunger Games and books about young people figuring out who they are in the world like Sparrow, The Poet X, The love and lies of Rukhsana Ali, or Aristotle and Dante discover secrets of the universe.

Ms. Sparks' friends say she's equally Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, but the Sorting Hat put her in Gryffindor. This means Ms. Sparks is loyal, persistent, and fearless in the pursuit of finding you something awesome to read! Feel free to email or come visit if you need assistance!
