If so, you can attend the STEM Fair and serve as a "Judge." While our STEM Fair is a non-competitive showcase, we think it's important for our students to have an audience. We're looking for STEM Professionals who will ask students about their projects and provide them with feedback.
You and a team can host a table or activity at the STEM Fair. At previous OUSD Science & Engineering Fairs, we've had activity tables hosted by the Chabot Space & Science Center, Alameda County Public Health & Nutrition Services, Community Resources for Science, KIDS for the BAY, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Shark Stewards, Strategic Energy Innovations, East Bay Regional Parks, Oakland Zoo, and more!
The STEM Fair is made possible by generous donations from local companies, foundations, and community-based organizations. These funds pay for student t-shirts, medals, food trucks, and more!
We are also seeking partners to sponsor student scholarships. Scholarship programs would be co-designed with OUSD STEM staff and would help students with exemplary high school achievement in STEM courses pursue their future ambitions.
