Our Guiding Principles
Support offered by your Behavioral Health Partners:
PBIS / MTSS-B Coach
- Assessment:
- Biannual progress monitoring with the Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI)
- Implementation of school-wide behavior strategies
- Classroom walkthrough to assess school wide trends of universal classroom management practices
- Coaching:
- Attend PBIS meetings, provide 1:1 coaching for PBIS team lead
- Support designated on-site coach (e.g., ITL, TSA, etc) to develop tier 1 classroom systems
- Complete classroom walkthrough assessments with on-site coach
- Assist coach to create tiered supports for teachers, ranging from on-site PD, PLC, to individual action plan
- Professional Development
- Deliver staff PD related to four core Tier 1 behavioral practices
- Teaching school-wide expectations
- Acknowledgement systems
- Discipline and consequence systems
- Data collection, analysis and problem solving
- Resource school site:
- Provide PBIS team with resources and samples for building school-wide and classroom behavior systems
Behavioral Health Program Manager:
- Professional Development: (1 hour or mini presentation to fit PD schedule)
- Trauma Informed Practices & Trauma Informed De-Escalation
- Self-Care
- Bullying Prevention
- Others that meet your staff/school needs
- Crisis Support/Consultation
- CPS, suicide assessment, family situations, safety concerns or other complex issues related to mental health.
- Coordination of campus/student crisis and/or solidifying a crisis response plan.
- COST Support:
- Network coach leads, attend meetings, support with data tracking, guide team as needed.
- Mental Health Provider Support:
- Liaison between school and site based mental health providers.
- Assistance with coordination and triaging of services, troubleshooting referral challenges, supporting clinicians in starting groups etc. Linking to community supports.
- Teacher and Staff Community Building & Staff Acknowledgement:
- Provide staff team building, acknowledgement ideas, and relationship building as part of trauma informed care.
Behavior Specialist:
- Individual Behavior Support Plans for general education students with tier III behavior needs:
- Data Collection
- Evidence Based Intervention Recommendations
- FBA/BSP Coaching and Training (i.e. parents, teachers, staff etc.)
- Safety Plan
- Program Evaluation
- Behavior support triage at COST/SST meetings
- Multi-disciplinary Team Meetings (MDT)
- Attend behavior related SST, SART etc
