We are pleased to be able to provide you a district music instrument to use during the school school year for music classes. You should have received a form from your student's music teacher with instructions about checking out an instrument.
You will need both the instrument type and serial number to check out an instrument.
The average cost to repair and maintain the instruments keeping them in good working order for the students in our schools ranges from $20-$50 per instrument per year. We are requesting a voluntary non-refundable donation to help with instrument repair and maintenance. Online donations can be made through the Oakland Education Fund.
Please Note: No student will be denied participation in a music class or denied an instrument for loan due to a decision not to make a financial contribution. In addition, no student will be granted any instrument preference based on a financial contribution.
