GREEN CLUB
We've had a great first term! Next week we will have a make up class on SUnday. Next term we will continue to read books on sustainability, plan another event and do nature art. Hope you will all continue next term.

What does it mean to be green?
We Learn.
We start every session with either a story or short video that teaches us something about sustainability.
We Research.
We have partenered with Muscat Daily to collect paper to be recycled but we also promote using both sides of the paper before it is recycled so we did some research and found out what classrooms need a paper to reuse box and a paper to recycle box. We are now in the process of collecting and decorating boxes.
We create.
Boxes made and delivered and few more on order!
We recycle (of course).
EY Recycling Center Complete!
We promote Waste-free snacks and lunches!
We want to see more waste-free options during snacks and lunches so we launched Our Waste Free Lunch Campaign. We made signs and hung them up around the school. Then we promoted it at assembly with examples of things to use instead of chip packets, single-use plastic laban and yogurt pots.

We've learned to sort the recycling and visited the big recycling center behind the school.
