Our S1/2 Girls football team played in the EDC Cube Annual Tournament on Tuesday 20 January. The girls played against some tough competition. They were unbeaten in half of their games and worked brilliantly together as a team scoring some great goals.
The players represented the school superbly, showing sportsmanship, enthusiasm, and a great competitive spirit. A huge well done to everyone involved!

Clydebank High were selected to take part in Our Freedom : Then and Now. This is a nationwide celebration of 80 years since the end of World War ll. The pupils explored what freedom meant to them, we gathered stories reflections and feelings about freedom in both past and present. This innovative and exciting Graphic Novel is the product of months of shared thoughts and experiences and about what freedom meant to our pupils. It was a deeply moving and reflective project.
CIRCLE stands for Child Inclusion Research into Curriculum Learning and Education. It supports the development of inclusive practice in all schools. Clydebank High School will continue to develop and sustain the CIRCLE Framework to support inclusive practice, this will provide a comprehensive grounding in staff knowledge, skills and practice in supporting all children. It will support GIRFEC and form part of the ASN Strategy in West Dunbartonshire.
We are so proud of our team of pupils (Monika, Maya, Taylor, Michaela, Alyssa and Tamara) who absolutely shone with confidence giving their business pitch this afternoon at the Winter Final of the the King’s Trust Enterprise Challenge. They worked so hard planning and delivering a business pitch for their social enterprise. Well done to them all! Unfortunately the girls were beaten to the winning place by Shawlands Academy, but they were praised for their excellent presentation and given wonderful feedback from the judges.
Over the course of three exciting days, S1 pupils took part in our Robot Olympics, a project designed to test their problem-solving, teamwork, and digital skills. This event was made possible thanks to a generous grant awarded to the Computing Science department through the Big Bang Schools Bursary, which provided pupils with access to new resources and equipment for the challenge.
From the very first session, the room was buzzing with excitement as pupils got to work building robots to navigate a set course.

The Parent Council helps to create an environment where all parents know that their views matter, and where they feel confident and comfortable putting them forward. They work on behalf of all parents to discuss educational matters that are of importance to all. They do not get involved in individual matters relating to children or staff in the school.

We are thrilled to celebrate our talented S6 pupil, Daisy, who has once again had her short story published in Paperboy magazine! The theme this time was “Anything Scottish”, and Daisy wrote an imaginative story about a young girl who wakes up to find that everything Scottish has vanished, from tartan and bagpipes to haggis and Irn-Bru.
To bring her story to life, Daisy carried out thorough research into Scottish history and inventors, discovering fascinating facts that enriched her writing. Her creativity and attention to detail impressed the Paperboy editor, who wrote:
“You are a genius, never stop writing and creating. You have tons of talent.”
Paperboy magazine was founded in 2021 by McKendrick, who was born in Clydebank, Scotland, and graduated from the Glasgow School of Art. The magazine features a unique mix of world renowned writers, photographers, and artists alongside the fresh voices of high school pupils and undergraduates. Daisy’s inclusion among such creative talent is a remarkable achievement and a wonderful recognition of her skills.
Daisy’s story stands out for its originality, humour, and thoughtful message about Scottish culture and identity. We are incredibly proud of her continued success and cannot wait to see what she creates next.
