A Night to Remember at Clydebank High School!

Our school show at Clydebank High was a fantastic success, filled with energy, talent, and plenty of memorable moments.

Leah and Jessica both gave a heartfelt and powerful performance as Matilda, bringing the character to life with confidence and emotion. Sophia Carson was outstanding as Miss Trunchbull — just the right mix of scary and hilarious! The Wormwoods, brilliantly portrayed by Hayley McGougan and Jay Keenan, were wickedly entertaining and a real highlight of the show. Lauren Robertson was perfectly cast as the kind-hearted Miss Honey, delivering a gentle, warm performance that balanced the chaos around her with grace and sincerity. Rudolpho also added a great touch of humour to the performance, with his lively presence and well-delivered one-liners.

The entire cast was incredible, and the dedication and talent of the pupils truly shone through. Every scene was polished and entertaining from start to finish.

A huge thank you to the Music Department and everyone involved in making the show such a success. You’ve set the bar high once again — we can’t wait to see what’s in store next year!

Our BGE Awards Ceremony was held inside the school and attended exclusively by teachers and pupils, creating a warm and familiar atmosphere to celebrate pupil achievements. The event recognised outstanding effort, progress, and excellence across a range of subjects, with teachers presenting awards and offering words of encouragement. Pupils cheered for their peers, fostering a strong sense of community and pride within the school. It was a memorable occasion that celebrated hard work and dedication in a meaningful way.

On Friday night, the S6 prom took place at The Lynnhurst, creating a truly memorable evening for all who attended. The venue was filled with excitement and celebration as pupils arrived looking absolutely stunning, dressed in their finest. The atmosphere was one of elegance and joy, and everyone conducted themselves with outstanding behaviour throughout the night. A highlight of the evening was the crowning of Prom King and Queen, with Ashton Gallacher and Beth Maclean receiving the honour to enthusiastic applause. It was a wonderful way to mark the end of an important chapter in their school journey.

We are thrilled to announce that one of our own, Sam Baird, has taken first place in the Lomond Unplugged 2025 competition, triumphing over eight other talented finalists.

Lomond Unplugged is a prestigious two-day live music festival that celebrates emerging acoustic talent and showcases the rich diversity of Scottish buskers. Sam captivated the judges and audience alike with a powerful original song, showcasing not only musical skill but also depth of emotion and lyrical maturity well beyond his years.

Competing against a strong field of musicians, Sam’s performance stood out for its clarity, creativity, and heartfelt delivery. Judges praised his natural stage presence and connection with the audience.

We are incredibly proud of Sam’s dedication, passion, and hard work. His achievement is an inspiration to all students who dream of pursuing their creative passions.

We had a fantastic Sports Final on 28 May, and thankfully the rain stayed off, creating the perfect atmosphere for a day full of energy and enthusiasm. Our pupils showcased their athletic talents and determination as they competed in a range of finals events, including the 600m and 800m races, shot put, high jump, and long jump. The day was filled with team spirit, encouragement, and impressive performances. We are incredibly proud of all the students who took part and supported their peers—well done to everyone involved!

Well done to our group of young people who presented on behalf of their YPI charities yesterday afternoon. The Winning team for Erskine Arts were Devin MacKenzie, Erin Hastings and Evie Hamilton.

We are so very proud of all the pupil’s commitment and resilience to present their pitches. We had presentations, videos, and animations all demonstrating that young people are understanding and valuing the impact charities have in our community.

Thank you to all our pupils for taking part, our teachers who did a great job supporting them and especially our charity partners who give so willingly of their time to support us and allow us to deliver this program.

Our finalist charities were; St Margarets Hospice, Erskine Veterans, Clydebank Asbestos, Golden Friendship, CHAS and Women’s Aid.

A group of 15 S1 and S2 girls recently visited the Barclays Glasgow Campus at Clyde Place, taking part in an inspiring and engaging STEM experience. The visit featured four exciting activities, including navigating a course with a Sphero robot kit, a Microbit-powered scavenger hunt, and designing a user interface for a Concert Tickets app. The pupils also enjoyed a guided tour of the impressive and modern campus ...[read more]

This visit was not only a fun and eye-opening day out, but also a great opportunity to spark interest in technology and digital careers.

The Parent Council helps to create an environment where all parents know that their views matter, and where they feel confident and comfortable putting them forward. They work on behalf of all parents to discuss educational matters that are of importance to all. They do not get involved in individual matters relating to children or staff in the school.

Magic Breakfast provides all pupils with a FREE nutritious breakfast food to ensure children start their school day in the best possible way. Breakfast gives our young people the energy needed for the busy school morning, enabling them to focus on their lessons.

Breakfast is available Monday - Friday from 8am onwards.
