We are extremely proud of Hayleigh, Taylor, Robin, Skye, and Megan, who have all been recognised for their exceptional creativity and skill in this year's Jackie Marno McGoldrick Art Prize. Their work stood out amongst entries from across West Dunbartonshire schools.

In addition to our prize winners, a significant number of Clydebank High pupils have had their artwork selected to be showcased at the Alchemy Experiment gallery in Glasgow. Their pieces will be on display until 13th November, and we encourage families, friends, and the wider community to visit and show their support. It is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the creative talent within our school.
The JMM Art Prize is an annual competition created to honour the legacy of Jackie Marno-McGoldrick, a former Clydebank High School artist and art teacher. Her mission was to inspire young people in Glasgow to express themselves creatively and develop their artistic voice.

Please note that Clydebank High School will be closed to pupils on Monday 10th November for a staff Inservice Day. This day allows our teachers and staff to engage in professional development and training to continue providing the best learning experiences for our students. Normal classes will resume on Tuesday 11th November.

We are excited to introduce our newly appointed Head Captains, Andrew and Rebecca who will be supported by our Depute Senior Captains Carys, Kristie, Leah, Ruaraidh, Zara and Zavier.
Together, this team will work tirelessly to foster a positive school environment, support their peers, and contribute to the growth and development of our school culture. They will lead by example, championing various initiatives and fostering a supportive and engaging environment for all.

The Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) has announced that exam diet for National Qualifications will start Wednesday 22nd April 2026 and will finish Monday 1st June 2026.
They have also stated that Results Day will be Tuesday 4th August 2026.
All pupils doing their National 5's, Higher and Advanced Higher qualifications have Study Leave starting

The Parent Council helps to create an environment where all parents know that their views matter, and where they feel confident and comfortable putting them forward. They work on behalf of all parents to discuss educational matters that are of importance to all. They do not get involved in individual matters relating to children or staff in the school.

We are thrilled to celebrate our talented S6 pupil, Daisy, who has once again had her short story published in Paperboy magazine! The theme this time was “Anything Scottish”, and Daisy wrote an imaginative story about a young girl who wakes up to find that everything Scottish has vanished, from tartan and bagpipes to haggis and Irn-Bru.
To bring her story to life, Daisy carried out thorough research into Scottish history and inventors, discovering fascinating facts that enriched her writing. Her creativity and attention to detail impressed the Paperboy editor, who wrote:
“You are a genius, never stop writing and creating. You have tons of talent.”
Paperboy magazine was founded in 2021 by McKendrick, who was born in Clydebank, Scotland, and graduated from the Glasgow School of Art. The magazine features a unique mix of world renowned writers, photographers, and artists alongside the fresh voices of high school pupils and undergraduates. Daisy’s inclusion among such creative talent is a remarkable achievement and a wonderful recognition of her skills.
Daisy’s story stands out for its originality, humour, and thoughtful message about Scottish culture and identity. We are incredibly proud of her continued success and cannot wait to see what she creates next.
