To provide additional support for pupils in the lead‑up to their final examinations, arrangements have been made for teaching staff to be released from classes for three periods on the day before each exam (or the closest available school day where holidays apply).

This time will be used to offer targeted revision, support, and exam preparation for pupils sitting Scottish Qualifications.

A detailed programme has been prepared and shared with pupils.

Where cover is required, this will be provided during the allocated periods to ensure continuity of learning for all classe

We are delighted to announce that our school has recently achieved the Silver Rights Respecting School Award. This marks an important step forward from our previous Bronze status and reflects the strong commitment of our whole school community to promoting children’s rights.

The award recognises the hard work and dedication of our pupils and staff in embedding the values of respect, dignity and equality into everyday school life.

The SQA exams in May mark an important point in the school year, giving pupils the chance to show what they’ve learned and take the next step toward their future goals. Steady revision, good routines, and support at home can make a big difference, helping young people feel prepared, calm, and ready to do their best.

Study leave for students completing examinations in S4-6 has commenced.

All students should have now registered for My Qualification Scotland which provides access to timetables, study support and is also the quickest way to access their final results in August. Instructions on how to register have been posted on year group google classrooms. All senior phase pupils will receive their examinations results on Tuesday 4 August.

We would like to wish all of our senior students every success for their examinations and hope that they achieve the levels of attainment and achievement that they deserve.

We are delighted to share that four of our S6 pupils have successfully completed the Mark Scott Leadership for Life Award this year. This is a fantastic achievement that reflects their commitment, resilience, and dedication to serving others.

Eden Carson, McKenzie Walsh, Glyn Roberts, and Neive Bell took part in the full programme, which included an Outward Bound residential experience alongside the planning and delivery of a meaningful community project. Through this journey, each pupil has grown in confidence, strengthened their leadership skills, and made a positive impact within their local community.

Last night, the pupils attended the national awards ceremony, where their hard work and achievements were formally recognised. It was a wonderful celebration of their efforts and success.

Please join us in congratulating Eden, McKenzie, Glyn, and Neive on this outstanding accomplishment.

Last month, secondary school pupils from across the UK took on the challenge of the Cyber Explorers Cup 2026, working to repair Cyber City’s corrupted Smart Mall AI system, SAM U.L, through a series of complex digital puzzles. Our Clydebank High School S3 Computing Science class did us incredibly proud with their hard work, problem solving skills, and teamwork throughout the competition.

Although we didn’t lift the trophy this year, our pupils achieved an outstanding 38th place nationally and ranked 4th in Scotland. This is an impressive accomplishment in such a competitive UK wide event. A huge well done to every pupil who took part! We’re already excited for next year’s competition, with our sights firmly set on climbing even higher and bringing the cup back to Clydebank.

After consultation with our young people, we adapted our uniform policy to allow pupils to come to school in the summer term (April-June) wearing loose fitting black dress/chino shorts with their school shirt and tie.

Please note: - girls should NOT wear short tight fitting hot pant style shorts.

We celebrated our amazing S6 pupils at their leavers breakfast, a chance to share memories, laugh together, and mark the end of an incredible journey.

We are so proud of everything you have achieved, the resilience you have shown, and the friendships you have built along the way.

As you head into your final day, remember: once part of our school community, always part of it. Here is to new beginnings, big dreams, and bright futures.

The Parent Council helps to create an environment where all parents know that their views matter, and where they feel confident and comfortable putting them forward. They work on behalf of all parents to discuss educational matters that are of importance to all. They do not get involved in individual matters relating to children or staff in the school.
