Garden 2 Table

Week Three Term 1 2024.

Our first full week of school this week which means we get to have our Garden 2 Table day.

We had lots of fun picking some plums and apples to use making our fruit kebabs.

Its hard to pick the perfect apple.

We each picked one plum. They are delicious.

We made patterns on our fruit kebabs.

Week 4 Term 1.

This week in pairs we made apple pies. First we went into the orchard to see if the apples were ripe. Then we lined our tins with pastry. Next we peeled and cut up our apples. It was lots of fun and they were yummy.

Week 5 Term 1

Today we made apple muffins without egg.  They were really yummy. Instead of using egg we used apple cider vinegar. We had them with vanilla ice cream.

Week 6 Term 1

Today we used left over banana's from our fruit in schools and made banana pancakes with out eggs. In the garden we pulled out all the weeds in the little boxes and we planted raddishes and carrots.

Week 7 Term 1

Today we picked some pears from our orchard.  Then we peeled and washed them. Then we poached them in our class air fryer. We had poached pears and ice cream.  We really liked the poached pears. We want to try baked apples next. We also had roasted carrots that we found in our garden. We washed the carrots and peeled them and we roasted them in some butter and herbs in our class air fryer.  They were really yummy.
