All communications from the college and your faculty will be sent to your Otis student email. Make sure to look for emails from each of your faculty for instructions about the first online class meeting. Please check your emails regularly. We recommend that you sync webmail to your phone, instructions available here.
Do you have wifi, a laptop or desktop computer, a phone?
If you do not have a computer, contact your department chair or the Otis Help Desk helpdesk@otis.edu about the possibility of borrowing a lab computer or laptop (restrictions apply).
Free wifi is available from Los Angeles area wifi providers. For more information look in the FAQs on this website.
The Teaching Learning Center/Student Learning Center has recorded a one-hour webinar “Learning Online” to prepare you for taking classes online. The virtual environment can be an interactive and dynamic space for learning.

The tools that will be used during your classes for the remainder of the term are Otis student email, Zoom, the Nest (Foundation Students) or O-space (everyone else), and G-drive. Please test each application from the icons which you can access at the top of the Dashboard (my.otis.edu) If you are having any difficulty accessing student email, the Nest or O-space, Zoom or G-drive, please fill out this form: https://otiscollege.formstack.com/forms/online_content
