Relationship & Mental Health Therapy
Therapy saved my life. So much so, I went back to school in my late 40s to become a therapist. Therapy helped me find my identity and gave my life meaning, purpose, and connection when I didn't like myself very much. I want that for you, too.
I work with couples, families, and individuals on mental health and relationship challenges. These include anxiety, depression, low self-worth, grief, loss, trauma, suicidal ideation, and sexual and identity questions. I help people tell new stories about old problems in their partnerships or families.
I use curiosity and respect because people deserve compassion. I am non-judgmental because people deserve to be understood. I am authentic and don't hide behind the role of therapist because people deserve my honesty.
Kink, Polyamory & LGBTQ+ Therapy
Having lived experience in all three communities, I know there are difficulties that surround living openly. I am supportive and caring in helping others create a new path for themselves in their kink, polyamory, and LGBTQ+ identities. Culturally, there remain many misunderstandings and stigmas. I promise I will not judge you. I embrace people with diverse and marginalized backgrounds and want to help you better understand your unique life and needs.
Spiritual Identity Therapy
As a former minister's son and current agnostic, I am well-versed in grappling with spiritual trauma or identity. I bring the same curiosity and lack of judgment to those I collaborate with - regardless of religious affiliation - who may be on a journey of questioning their own beliefs or recovering from high-control groups. Finding spiritual peace can be an essential part of overall wellness, and I provide a safe place to explore these often complex feelings.
