The Otama School community has proudly created a Strategic plan and Goals for 2025 that align with our school and community values. In term 1, as the new teaching principal, I'm planning to host a meet-the-teacher/principal afternoon to share upcoming changes around the curriculum, discuss my plans for teaching and learning, share my philosophy around education, and brainstorm ideas for our strategic plans and goals for 2026 and beyond.
The key aspects being discussed during this hui (meeting) will be around our new Strategic Plans and Goals for 2026 and linking this with our community values and a localised curriculum that upholds these values, Te Mataaiaho (The Refreshed Curriculum), student learning and achievement, and the future of Otama School teaching, learning, and aspirations.
I'm excited to participate in the Otama School Strategic Plans and Goals and look forward to bolstering our Kura (school) throughout my principalship.
