Nau mai, Haere mai! Welcome Back to ŌC 2025 Let's have a wonderful year together!
A little about Me (Pepeha slides).
I am originally from Canada having spent most of my life in the suburbs of Vancouver, British Columbia. I am fortunate to enjoy visiting my extended family in Canada when I can, and have a lovely new family here in New Zealand and Australia with my partner.
I moved over to New Zealand in July of 2015 and began my NZ teaching career in primary school for 2.5 years, followed by some short and long-term relieving at Kāpiti College, before joining the Ōtaki College community. I have learned a lot through each new experience and I am enjoying continuing to learn alongside staff and students at our kura.
I am in my 29th year of teaching (20 years in Surrey, BC Canada, and now in my 9th year here in Aotearoa New Zealand.) I am starting my fifth year at Ōtaki College teaching a variety of Humanities courses at both the junior and senior levels, in addition to my pastoral roles as a kaiarahi teacher for year 9 Kauri 4.
