In term 1, our kaupapa matua was manaakitanga and we focused on how we can show kindness to others. You will find some of the activities that we did on our Hauora page.
Whatungarongaro te tangata, toitū te whenua.
In term 2 we will be diving deep into our value of kaitiakitanga. We will be looking at ways we can protect our environment at kura and beyond. You can check out some of this on the Pūtaiao page.
Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini.
In term 3 we are focusing on our value of whanaungatanga. We are looking at relationships in the natural world, and how everything is connected. You can check out some of this on the Pūtaiao page.
E kore au e ngaro, he kākano i ruia mai i Rangiātea.
In term 4 we are learning about whakapapa. We will be talking about pepeha, as well as learning about natural and human history to know where we come from. You can check out some of this on the Tikanga-ā-iwi page.

Kia ora koutou!
I started working at Ōtaki School in 2023 teaching Waikawa, a year 2-3 class.
Before that I completed Poutuarongo Reo at Te Wānanga o Raukawa and worked in different schools mostly teaching year 3-6, as well as at the Ministry of Education.
