Term 4 - Week 1- 10 - Persuasive  Writing

We are learning to write  an argument for or against a topic of interest- e.g.  Should Animals be kept in Zoos?

Open up google docs -  write the title and make a copy in your Writing folder- then write an argument for or against a topic of your choice

Term 3 - Week 5-10 - Narrative  Writing

We are learning to write a story- fact or fiction- with a beginning, middle and end.

Open up google docs -  write the title and make a copy in your Writing folder- then write an interesting story by using your imagination and planning the ideas first- insert an image to help us understand your story 

Term 2 - Week 5-9 - Information Report  Writing

We are learning to find information by reading non-fiction texts  and  summarising the main ideas- then writing an information report. We need to use headings and sub- headings.

Open up google slides -  write the title and make a copy in your Writing folder- then write sub- headings on the following slides- 6-8  slides should be enough or you could use google docs and write the heading and sub- headings. You can  write about NZ plants or native trees. Look at the pictures to get ideas.

Term 2 - Week 1- 4 - Information Report  Writing

We are learning to find information by reading non-fiction texts  and  summarising the main ideas- then writing an information report. We need to use headings and sub- headings.

Open up google slides -  write the title and make a copy in your Writing folder- then write sub- headings on the following slides- 6-8 slides should be enough or you could use google docs and write the heading and sub- headings. You can  write about animals. Look at the ictures to get ideas.

Write a description of  your school's new playground

Open up a google doc-  write the title and make a copy in your Writing folder

Term 1 - Week 7- 8 - Descriptive Writing

Write a description of your time at the swimming pools- - a special event 

1.  Make a copy.

2. Remove the copy of and replace it with your name- eg- Mathias  and Writing title: A day at the Pools/ Beach

3. Move it into your writing folder.

4. Complete the writing task

Write a description of a storm- a special event
