1. Purpose:
To give the reader information about something.
2. Features of information writing:
Title: Tells what the writing is about.
Introduction: Introduces the topic.
Facts/Details: Explains the topic using clear facts.
Diagrams or pictures: Shows examples or helps explain ideas.
Conclusion: Sums up the information or gives an interesting ending fact.

To tell a story that has a beginning, middle, and end.
