To notify the school of your child's absence, please do one of the following:

• Call the Attendance Office (03 471 9727)

• Use the school app's absence notification to let the school know that your child will be away

If your child is marked absent by a teacher, and we haven't heard from you, you will receive a text asking if your child is absent. 

If your child needs to leave school early, or attend an appointment, she must bring a note to be signed by one of the Deans and then take it to the office to receive a 'blue exit pass'. This must be shown at the main office when signing out. If your child is returning after an appointment, they must sign back in at the main office again.

The OGHS school app is a handy place to find different information about the school. The school newsletter is published here. You will be able to receive alerts (such as for snow days), receive reminders about things like school photos, and you are also able to report your daughter's absences if she is away.

Parents and caregivers are able to access their daughter's live attendance, as well as school reports, through the Edge Parent Portal. Instructions on how to set up your account will be given at the Meet the Teacher Evening.
