Metronomes click the beat to help you learn to play with a steady beat. The higher the number, the faster the tempo. A lower number is a slower tempo. For example, at 60 there is one beat each second. At 120, there are 2 beats per second. Experiment for what feels right!
Pretty much all metronomes are the same. You can search around and find lots of options of free ones.
