As a college student in New York State, you are eligible to register at either your permanent (home) address or at your college address. If you wish to vote in person, you will need to ensure that you can be in the County where you are registered on Election Day (11/3/26) or during Early Voting (10/24-11/1). If you will not be in the County where you're registered, you can request an Absentee Ballot and vote by mail.
If you have some anxieties or unanswered questions about what to expect on Election Day, check out our Voter FAQs. The more you know, the better you'll feel!
You can request an Absentee Ballot by mail through Vote Oswego or online. Ballot requests must be received by your local Board of Elections by 10/24/26, and completed ballots must be postmarked no later than Election Day (11/3/26). Visit a Vote Oswego table to ask questions or submit your request form.
