It is important that you learn mathematics. Mathematics is everywhere embedded in bar codes, credit card numbers, and algorithms for Google Maps, It even underlies the algorithms for AI. If you want to understand the world, you need to understand mathematics.
In this presentation, I will show examples of real-world applications of mathematics including the mathematics that underlies UPC bar codes and how a complex problem from Delta Airlines and AT&T can actually be solved by using soap bubbles!
