- American Indian Youth Services Literature Award - Awarded by the American Indian Library Association
- Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature - From the Asian/Pacific American Librarians Association (APALA)
- Batchelder Award - For outstanding children’s books originally published in a language other than English in a country other than the United States.
- Caldecott Medal - Goes to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.
- Charlotte Huck Award - From NCTE, this new award is for children's fiction.
