About Mrs. Beckley

I am Kim Beckley, K-6 Music Teacher for Lakeview, Wolcott and Woodbury Schools. This is my ninth year teaching. Prior to coming to these schools, I taught in Morrisville and Dorset Vermont. I have taught all ages from Infants through the end of Eighth Grade. I am very excited for the opportunities this year will bring with each school, and to become involved in these amazing communities. I live in Hardwick with my Husband (Adam) and our two cats (Misty and Melody).

In general music classes I truly enjoy teaching a wide variety of skills, genres and methods. We will dance, sing, play instruments, play games, write (compose), and read (perform) in all grades. Older grades may also create their own short "Musicals" and have passion projects about different areas in music. Whenever possible, I tie in concepts from other disciplines into the music classroom.
