Welcome to Room 101!
In our both our Life Science and AVID classes, we incorporate restorative justice strategies so that we can be more sucessful academically, socially, and emotionally. Through the use of community circles and restorative conversations, we build a stronger foundation of relationships which foster a successful community.
What are restorative justice practices? To belong, students need to feel like they are heard, seen and have a purpose in what they are doing within our school. Creating a culture of care through using classroom circles on a regular basis will allow a space for students, parents and educators to experience that. We will spend time setting up classroom norms and guidelines for our circle practice in order to ensure a positive, productive classroom of learning!
