About me

Hello! My name is Micaela Reese. I have been teaching for 32 years. Most of my time has been with kindergarten and first grade. I have now taught T-K for 4 years. I absolutely love teaching T-K. It truly is a gift to students. I enjoy each and every day with my kiddos. I really feel that the MOST important thing that I can teach my students is to LOVE school and learning.

I am so fortunate to enjoy my job. I look forward to getting to know you and your children. The minute I meet my students they become like my own children to me. I will do my very best to prepare them to be healthy individuals with manners and respect for others. I will also work very hard to prepare them as best I can for the future.

My history

I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. My family is still there. I went to Salpointe Catholic High School and then attended the University of Arizona. Here, I not only graduated in Elementary Education but also met my future husband. Upon marrying we relocated to California for employment purposes. I enjoy all that San Diego has to offer. We are so lucky to live here. However, I will always have a special place in my heart for Tucson. I love the desert and enjoy every minute with my family there. I make frequent visits to see my family. My students always learn about the desert and they will be able to show you Arizona on the map :). My husband is from Pennsylvania. Therefore, every summer we visit the area and enjoy our time in a mountain cabin home.

My family

I am also a mother 0f 3 adult children. Jacob is 29. Nicholas is 27 and Juliette is 23. My kids are all independent and either working full time or in college. Aside from 2 of my grown children, I have a niece and an exchange student living with me. My home is more like a hotel:) My heart is very content to have a house full.
