If you don’t have your instrument, you can still practice reading the notes, clapping the beats, while saying the note names. Have Fun and I hope to see you soon!!!

For Strings students, if you click on “Strings,” there is everything you need to practice (you can click on the book (just make sure it is the correct instrument...like violin or viola or cello). Also there are all of the play-along tracks, so you can play-along just like when we’re in class.

If you need your string instrument “tuned,” I’m so sorry, but it’s just not possible right now, you’ll just have to “make do.” . It shouldn't matter that much anyways, as we mostly play on the A string. Please don’t try to tune it yourself, as the strings can break

Rosin is available at Postal Annex, 825 College Blvd (76 and College, between Wal-Mart and Vons) I’d call ahead to make sure their hours and if they still have rosin (760) 414 1090.

Or you can buy rosin online through amazon or ebay (with adult supervision of course).

If you need a reed, I’d look to buy one online: like amazon or ebay (with adult supervision).

Reeds could be a number 1.5 or a 2.0 (or even a 2.5 if you practice alot), Rico is a good brand, also Vandoren.

Si no tienes un instrumento, todavía puedes practicar leyendo la notas musicales, aplaudiendo el ritmo mientras dices los nombres de las notas. Diviértete practicando espero verlos pronto!!!

Para los estudiantes de cuerdas, si das click on “Strings,” ahi encontraras todo lo que necesitas para practicar( también puedes acceder al libro solo asegurate que es el instrumento correcto..como violín, viola o cello) . En este momento no se puede sintonizar tu instrumento, no te preocupes, no es muy relevante ya que se estará trabajando en la cuerda A. Por favor no trates de sintonizar tu instrumento, ya que las cuerdas pueden romperse, como las cuerdas pueden romperse puedes encontrar Rosin en Postal Annex, 825 College Blvd (76 and College, entre Wal-Mart y Vons) asegurate de hablar antes para confirmar que tienen Rosin disponible (760) 414 1090.
