Welcome to Mrs. Farrell's Class!

In kindergarten I decided to be a teacher when I grew up because I loved school and learning. Now I am so happy I get to share my love of learning with my students, and I get to learn from them every day.

I came to San Diego to attend college, after graduating from high school in Los Angeles. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and a Multiple Subject Credential from UC San Diego. After teaching for a few years, I earned a Master's degree in Teaching and my National Board Certification.

I began teaching in Oceanside Unified School District in 2000. My first ten years of teaching were at Libby Elementary, primarily in fourth grade. I have been teaching second grade at Mission Elementary for 7 years.

My husband is also a teacher in OUSD. We live in Oceanside with our four year old son and dog. In my free time, I like to spend time with my family. I also enjoy reading, baking, gardening, and trying new restaurants.
