Personal Goals
As a teacher in the 21st century, it is critical to keep up with up and coming technology. Students today are not only learning to be scholars in the academic and working field, but they also have to be fluent in technology. It is my goal to prepare my students to be creative, collaborative, communicative, critical thinkers -- academically and technologically.
As a school, we have been encouraged and empowered to develop our technological skills and learn new ways to implement them in the classroom. As I gain knowledge of new apps (via students or colleagues), I would like to deepen my understanding, build my level of comfort and use them in my classroom. Below is a list of apps I would like to consistently use in my classroom.
Google Apps to use:
Classroom: use to share links, presentations, assignments via Google Docs and Slides
Forms: use to survey students, assign exit tickets, have students create questions in book clubs
Slides: use as an option for presenting information to students, or for students to present information to the class. Students can also collaborate on projects
