It is important to set clear expectations when working with your child at home. First and then prompts are very effective when working with non-preferred activities. Begin by identifying the behavior you want to see more often. Then choose a backup reinforcer that your child can earn with his tokens. Finally, select a token to use and decide how many tokens your child will need to earn to get the backup reinforcer.
