Advanced Studio Art

Class Description: 

This course is for curious, self-motivated artists. In a rigorous and supporting open studio environment, students create a cohesive body of work through inquiry, exploration, experimentation, revision, and reflection. A recursive process of art making is emphasized in the creation of students’ personal artistic voice. This recursive process includes the study of historical and contemporary artistic voices. 

The culmination of the class is a student-curated exhibition showcasing the year’s work. The process and practice of art making is documented throughout the year according to professional standards.
