Drama I
This class focuses on the foundations of theatre. We study theatre history, vocal techniques, stage combat, emotional conveyance, monologues, duo scenes, group scenes, and improvisation. It's a great class for the beginning student. No prerequisite.
Drama II
This class is the next step of difficulty after Drama I. We focus more on various acting techniques, character development/study, dramaturgy, and playwriting as well as audition prep. Students in this class may also opt to join technical theatre and learn to design, build, and paint sets and analyze plays from a technical perspective. Recommended prerequisite is Drama I.
Musical Theatre
Students in this class focus on learning to sing and choreograph musical theatre numbers. They also learn to write their own scenes and mini plays that incorporate popular music as well as music from musicals. This is a fun and high energy course. No prerequisite.
