It has come time to replace the current marching band uniforms of North High School. The current band uniforms are the only band uniforms ever worn by ONHS Band students since the founding of the school in 1972.
Our current band uniforms were purchased in 1991. Funds to purchase the uniforms were raised solely by North Band students, families, and community members.
Today, the North Bands are lucky to partner with Oshkosh North, the Oshkosh Area School District, and the Oshkosh Educational Foundation as we raise the funds together.
Our current uniforms can be seen in this North Yearbook Photo. In 1992, North Band Members played for former President George H. W. Bush when he visited Oshkosh. The same uniforms in this picture are still being worn today.
The North Band is partnering with the Oshkosh Area School District and the Oshkosh Educational Foundation to raise money to purchase these band uniforms.
These uniforms will be state-of-the-art and with a sleek design. Made by Stanbury Uniforms, these new uniforms will feature the ONHS school identification and the Spartan logo on the shako. The new uniforms will also feature a cape, adjustable black bibber pants, and a 14-inch plume.
These uniforms are made to last! With high quality, comes an expected high price tag. The North Band deserves the very best.
The Oshkosh Area School District wants to purchase 150 band uniforms for the Oshkosh North Band Program, each costing $500. This puts our fundraising goal at $80,000. 150 Band Uniforms will ensure there will always be an available, well-fitting uniform for future North Band students.
The North Bands has pledged to raise $20,000 of the estimated $85,000 purchase. The Oshkosh Area School District and the Oshkosh Educational Foundation are graciously assisting us with the rest of the purchase. The North Bands needs your help to reach their goal of raising $20,000.
January 13, 6:30pm: Our first informational meeting will inform you of our initial progress from our "Ask Campaign." This will be a time where we brainstorm for our summer fundraiser. Informational material will also be handed out if you wish to share fundraising information with family and friends. Please join us in the North Auditorium.
March 15, 7:30pm: Our second informational meeting will inform you of our first Large Fundraiser, the Mattress Fundraiser, which takes place on April 3 in the North Cafeteria. Mattress Fundraisers are only successful if parents and students help advertise. You will receive materials to distribute to families and friends. Even if your family does not need a new mattress, we still need your help to spread the word. Let's get the word out about this fundraiser!
