OSD Brand/Media Kit
The Communications Department coordinates creating or updating school/district logos in collaboration with District Leadership and administration. We strive to mirror our strategic plan/goals in the imagery we produce.
When producing publications or presentations, OSD staff must attempt to align with the brand guidelines below.
Special branding for events or collaborations should complement the OSD brand. If you have questions about branding or aligning with guidelines, contact Taryn at tsmith@ontario.k12.or.us.

TIPS FOR TAKING PHOTOS
Check first—Before snapping and sharing, Check the photo opt-out list. School and class photo opt-out lists are in Synergy.
Focus - We only use photos that are in focus. Most phones and digital cameras have an autofocus option. Learn how to use it, and you will never take another blurry photo!
Get close - Move in close to your subject for better photos. Avoid the zoom function.
Capture action - People posed against a wall is boring. People doing something is interesting.
Smile - Everyone wants to look good in a photo. Tell people it’s okay to smile!
Go horizontal - Horizontal photos work best for our website and Facebook, the primary places that you’ll use them. Most horizontal photos can be adapted to be used vertically for mobile use.
