How much are tickets?
Tickets are $20. Attendees who are not OSD Seniors or Senior sponsors must purchase a ticket. You can contact Erin Dunagan (edunagan@osd.k12.ok.us) or Ama Glasgow (aglasgow@osd.k12.us) for more information on purchasing tickets, or you can visit the OSD Business Office.
What grades can attend?
The prom is for Juniors and Seniors. Sophomores who complete their serving duties will be able to go to the dance. However, ONLY Juniors and Seniors will attend the afterparty. Freshmen, no matter their age, may not attend.
Can my day/commuter student be able to stay in the dorms?
Staying the dorms is recommended for any students that are involved in prom. Day students must either be picked up when students are ready - either after their duties are finished (Sophomores), early from the dance or supervised after party, or at the end of the evening. Students are still required at school on May 18th, the day after prom, or are counted absent. If you would like to see if your student can stay in the dorm, please contact Kim Groeders at kgoeders@osd.k12.ok.us and Trudy Lynn at tlynn@osd.k12.ok.us.
Can students bring outside dates?
Juniors and Seniors who want to bring a date from outside of OSD will need to have their date fill out an application and be approved; they must also be under the age of 20. They are also responsible for their ticket cost and transportation to & from OSD. Contact Erin Dunagan at edunagan@osd.k12.ok.us or Ama Glasgow at aglasgow@osd.k12.ok.us for the application.
Students cannot bring outside guests without approval.
Students must remain with chaperones at all times.
Only Juniors and Seniors may attend the afterparty.
Sophomores that complete their serving duties may attend prom.
Students may not bring outside food or drinks.
Students have high behavior expectations and will act in a respectful way to each other and to staff present.
Students must still follow all rules in the OSD handbook.
