Barefoot Gallery is excited to present Amesh Wijesekera’s solo textile art exhibition “Homecoming,” which reflects on his creative design practice through three-dimensional textile art. This body of work serves as a renaissance of Amesh's creative journey showcasing an amalgamation of knit experiments, textile printing, and dyeing methods.

Amesh, a young and globally lauded fashion designer, delves into the intricate layers of his artistic progression and the boundless possibilities of textiles and print as a medium of expression in collaboration with Barefoot Gallery. This exhibition will be contextualised with an artist walk and panel discussions.

Bring your favourite Studio Ghibli/Miyazaki characters and sceneries to life with our Ghibli inspired Paint & Sip Workshop, happening 19th May, 6 pm onwards at t-Lounge & Bar by Dilmah.

Master the art of painting in the distinct style of Hayao Miyazaki and his Ghibli universe and interpret the sceneries and characters on your own, be it Totoro, Howl, Ponyo, Calcifer, Jiji, Sophie or any of the beloved characters with the help of the good folk at @the.elemente.gallery.
