Banner ads are a unique program. These are different from traditional yearbook ads. Don’t worry - your company’s name will still be listed in the back of the yearbook as a supporter, but with banner ads, you’re getting much more for your money.
At the $50 level:
Your company name is listed in the back of the yearbook.
Your company name is listed on our banner in the concession stand throughout the upcoming basketball season as a Mass Media Sponsor.
At the $100 level:
Your company name is listed in the back of the yearbook.
Your company name is listed on our banner in the concession stand throughout the upcoming basketball season as a Mass Media Sponsor.
Your company name is included in each of our three quarterly newsletters mailed to every boxholder in the Osborn School District.
Your company gets a unique advertisement on our Wildcat News Network home page.
We list your company’s name as a Mass Media supporter at the end of every single bi-weekly newscast we produce this year. Those newscasts are posted to our Youtube channel and will be a highly viewed item.
How Much Coverage Am I Really Going to See?
Every yearbook we sell is seen by approximately five people. We sell around fifty yearbooks a year, so the average yearbook ad is seen about 250 times. Osborn Wildcat Basketball is a huge winner in the community. Game attendance averages around 150 - 200 patrons. Tournament attendance is far higher than that. Every single time someone walks into our multi purpose room and concession stand, they’re going to see your name as one of our sponsors. Add that to our social media, newscast, and website coverage, and we’re continually putting your name in front of potential customers who really do care whether you support our school.
Where Does My Money Go?
Our ad sales dollars are being directly invested into our journalism program. Every year, we continually work to provide students with a better education in the world of journalism. Three years ago, we launched a blog that students and teachers across Northwest Missouri look at on a regular basis, and debuted a quarterly newsletter that goes out to every boxholder in the Osborn School District. Two years ago, we launched a bi-weekly newscast that is posted on YouTube so viewers across the world can see what our students are doing. That kind of dedication to teaching journalism, though, requires a financial investment that’s difficult for a small school. The yearbook alone costs us quite a bit of money to produce. Add that to the equipment required for our videos, blogs, and newsletters, and you have a program that is worthy of investment for any business, especially given the sheer amount of exposure you get at the $100 level.
