The ongoing federal government shutdown is creating growing uncertainty for Arizona’s families and students.
Last Thursday, the Department of Economic Security (DES) notified families that SNAP benefits, which support over 347,000 Arizona children, will be halted starting Saturday.
To support school leaders in responding to family inquiries, the Arizona School Boards Association (ASBA) is providing the following resources:

SNAP recipients can receive $30 food vouchers by presenting their EBT cards at participating farmers markets and other locations. This temporary program is funded by the Arizona Governor’s Office using ARPA dollars and will remain active for the duration of the shutdown...

City Hope is a ministry that provides food, personal hygiene items, and clothing at no cost.
The Phoenix Location is just down the street from our school at 1640 W Camelback Rd. Each person can visit once every 30 days.
They only allow 80 people through per day, so make sure you arrive early to ensure you can get in. The days they are open are:
Tuesday from 2-4:30
Thursday from 2-4:30
Saturday from 9-11:30

For food assistance, we have partnered with the St. Mary's food bank to provide weekly food bags. The bags are passed out on Fridays.

Cox internet has a connect to compete program which provides internet service for as low as $9.95 per month.
Because Osborn School District participates in the National School Lunch Program, all Osborn District families automatically qualify for the Connect to Compete Program. You will need to get a letter from the nutrition department (fill out the form to get one)
