We have recently received the follow information from Cherokee Nation, please take a few minutes to complete the survey requested. A link to the survey will be placed on the home page of our website: www.osageelementary.com and will be shared on our Facebook page.
Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. and Deputy Principal Chief Bryan Warner announced the launch of a new connectivity survey along with a Respond, Recover, Rebuild Mobile Hotspot Connectivity Assistance Program to provide mobile hotspots to Cherokee students lacking Internet at home.
Parents, or legal guardians, should start by completing the survey. The survey responses will provide Cherokee Nation data to make more informed decisions on improving broadband access for its citizens. If determined a Cherokee household may qualify for a free mobile hotspot, including a year of service, respondents will be prompted to complete an application as part of the survey.
Due to limited supply, not every qualifying household will receive a device. Priority will be given to Cherokee households with K-12 students.
A cellular solution may not work for every household, but know the Cherokee Nation is hard a work expanding Internet connectivity options for its citizens. The global pandemic has highlighted, now more than ever, that having reliable broadband access is essential for a thriving community, family, workforce and Nation.

Back To School Fall 2020
Osage has had a great start to our new year. Please remember we are partners in this process and we will be successful if we work together. Please help us ensure students have ample time to eat. Our school day starts at 8:20 by regulation and breakfast has to be over at 8:20. Students who wish to eat need to arrive by 8:00 to have enough time to eat. We will stop allowing students to enter the cafeteria at 8:15 for breakfast. We hope you understand and will help us ensure your child is able to take advantage of our free breakfast.
Please Note: At this time the masks are necessary to enter the building. Students are encouraged to have an extra mask in their bag or classroom. It is possible, our masks requirements will change as we continue to monitor the Oklahoma Covid- 19 Alert System.
Your Osage Team!
Greetings Fellow Panthers!
I wanted to reach out today to say THANK YOU to all the parents who are being so patient and kind as we work through our Re-Opening Plan for the 20-21 School Year. We know that it is frustrating to not know what to expect with regards to school and how it will look for your family. Please understand we meet weekly with top officials all around Oklahoma and they do not have those answers either. Things change daily and we can tell you we are working as hard as we can to ensure we have a plan to meet as many needs as possible. The board will hear the tentative plan Monday night and then hopefully in a week or so after that we will have the plan ready to share with our families. However, I would like to add the plan will be subject to change even after it is released due to new information of changes at the state level.
Please keep in mind if you have not enrolled your children with us yet we need you to enroll with us so we know how many students we need to plan for and how many new students we can take from outside of our district.
We appreciate our families and we look forward to working with you!
