The Mitchell Country Fair is usually held at the beginning of August and is available for anyone in FFA or 4-H
Members raise and work with their animals all summer then exhibit them at fair.
Members can show any of the following:
- Beef - Chickens
- Swine - Sheep
- Horses - Goats
- Rabbits
Before the fair begins members weigh-in their animals (if required for that specific specie).
Beef = December/January
Swine = March
Sheep/Goats = April
Our FFA members also work in the food stand throughout fair week. Every member works a minimum of two shifts which are three hours long, a day shift and a night shift.
Participants also have a chance to compete at State Fair.
