Are you aware of the criteria under which you receive notifications of new activity regarding clusters that extend within your monitored area? Would you like to only receive notifications derived from certain types of satellites or at a certain cluster confidence level? Please keep reading through to answer these questions.
First look for the menu “Monitor” and find your monitored area within the list, click on the Edit area & Notifications button as shown below:
Scroll down to see the two submenus that have just appeared “Edit Area” & “Notification Settings”.
Please make sure that all given criteria are correct and if you have to do any adjustments, please do so by interacting with the buttons and actionable items.
Then make sure that your preferred notification methods are active and that all related info is up to date, before you save changes let us click on the Advanced Notification Criteria Submenu.
Within the Advanced Notification Criteria, you can adjust your preferred settings in the following sections:
Notification Type: whether you want to get information related to Clusters Activity (including detection of new clusters) or Individual Hotspots (Notifications for each new hotspot detected within the monitored area.)
Geostationary satellite notifications: Initial will send a notification detected by either a GEO or LEO satellite and will stop the GEO notifications once an LEO satellite has associated a hotspot to the cluster. All will send a notification for each new GEO or LEO.
Advanced Information: If enabled you will receive the scientific data related to each new Hotspot.
Known Constant Heat Sources: To avoid notifications from new activities related to clusters that have been classified as non-fires please make sure that the checkbox is marked.
Minimum Confidence: You can select the minimum cluster confidence level from which you want to start receiving notifications from the new activity for your monitored area. We recommend you set it to 0.2 because this will provide you with a general overview of all new detections.
Finally, there are three on-demand notification methods via Whatsapp, SMS, and Webhook, in case you are interested in enabling them for your account, please contact us. To save all changes you have adjusted please click on Update.
