Reading at this level is hard to replicate at home, but can be done. It is all about learning to read, looking at the words and not making up the story. Writing independently at this level is hard to replicate at home, so your input is needed. It is all about creating a sentence or story, hearing the sounds to write and knowing the letters to use. You can cut up sentences, scribe the sentence and then your learner copies on top or underneath, talk about first sound/last sound when scribing and practicing handwriting or spelling.
