Sounds to practice (Set 1)
Use this video to practice the actions that help us remember the sounds!
Here is a list of words you can practice with the bottle caps that you should find in your child's book bag. Please make sure to put them back in their bag so we can keep adding to them!
You can also create a word chain where your child only changes one sound each time.
For example:
at - pat - sat - sit - pit - pin - pan - tan - tap - map - man
dip - tip - tin - din - dim - sim - sam - pam - dam - dan - din

Is your child struggling differentiating between b and d? It is quite common at this age. We use the poster on the right to help us remember which one is which.

Here is a list of words you can practice with your child once they have learnt set 1, 2 and 3. They can practice reading and writing them. They can also write short sentences with them starting with a capital letter, making sure to have finger spaces between words and finishing with a full stop.
