Hello,
My name is Jennifer Davis and I am the elementary school counselor. I started last January and this will be my first full year in the district. However, Oriskany is my home. I graduated from Oriskany and both of my children did as well.
I have been in education for 20 years and about 5 years ago I chose to become a school counselor. My passion is working to help children become successful in all areas including academic/social and emotional.
During the year I will be working with all children teaching Social Emotional Lessons (SEL) in the classroom which include topics such as relationship skills, self-management, self-awareness, responsible decision making and social awareness. I will also work with small groups and individuals as needed.
When I am not at school you can find me hanging out with my husband as we are empty nesters and have found a love for traveling. And of course spending time with our adult children when they are free. I also enjoy reading and photography.
