Mrs. Goodenough

Meet the Teacher

Hello students and families! I am a momma to two beautiful children, Elsie (7) and Liam (2). My husband is a Utica Firefighter Paramedic and we have been married 9 years. I love traveling and reading. Two of my favorites are chocolate and coffee! We spend a lot of time as a family outdoors, and exploring with our dog Hailey.

This is my 1st year with the Oriskany Central School District but the 12th year of my teaching career. I have taught several different grade levels, but this is my first adventure in third grade! I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, a Masters Degree in Literacy, as well as dual Professional New York State Certifications for teaching Birth-6th grade. Each year brings new and exciting opportunities for both students and their families, and I look forward to experiencing these with you.

Class Expectations

Be Safe

Make decisions that are safe for yourself and those around you. This includes safety in our classroom, school, and community. Safe choices should be the only choices we make!

Be Kind

Treat classmates, teachers, staff, and yourself with kindness and consideration. If someone cannot change something about themselves in 30 seconds or less, we do not comment on it. Before you speak or act, think if your behavior is positive and kind!

Follow Directions

Listen carefully to directions and follow them quickly the first time you are asked. Rules and directions are in place to keep everyone happy and safe. Following directions allows to to do our best learning together!
